With summer just around the corner, I though you might need a little outfit inspiration. Here are two looks that will make you want to go shopping immediately. Some of my favorite summer pieces include: Backpacks, chunky jewels, cropped tops, wide legged pants paired with flats, print mixing and sleek sandals.

The Metropolitan Museum's highly anticipated annual costume institute gala took place yesterday. The theme: Charles James, Beyond Fashion. James is best known for his beautiful and dramatic ball gowns so naturally, we were all expecting a substantial amount of excitement and fascinating fashion to say the least. Among my favorite looks of the night were Karolina Kurkova's chic Marchesa strapless dress and Blake Lively's Gucci frock. Some other favorites included Sarah Jessica Parker's spectacular Oscar de la Renta and Suki Waterhouse's head turning Burberry gown.

Colombian designer Amelia Toro's stunning new S/S 2014 collection draws inspiration from architecture, interior design, nature and ballet from the seventies. Her beautifully sophisticated color palette goes from pale pink to minty green with some black or burgundy accents and some of the textures include cotton eyelet, silk, elaborate embroideries and beautiful tulles. The 60's were unquestionably the most popular decade during the autumn/winter 2014 shows. Here are some of the great reasons to adopt this cool fashion. '60s style is not only classic, but it's a trend that can work for any season: Mini skirts are forever chic, and retro shift dresses are ultra-flattering on almost any body type. Peter pan necklaces are cute and very feminine. Mismatched patterns have been a thing for a while now and we all know how utterly cool they look.
